Podcasting to a new level!

I found an excellent how-to guide to podcasting on the blog site called BlogWorld. It is a site dedicated to New Media and Social Media Education, News and Events. The post is located here:

http://www.blogworld.com/2011/09/14/a-beginners-guide-to-podcasting-basics/

I really like how descriptive the article is and detailed on how to do a podcast. It also really helps having the links that are provided within the article to other helpful posts. For example, there is a link to other posts within the site that are on the topic of podcasting, and there is another to the Google search results for a Podcast Directory, and gives lots of examples of podcasts.

I also found a really good free podcasting hosting service on the site blip.tv. It can be found here:

The first thing I like about this site is obviously because it is free. I really like the layout as well and how simple it is to use. The homepage showcases podcast subscriptions that are frequently visited, and it was very easy to find where to sign up for an account. You can also log in via Facebook to subscribe to web series on the site. It was very easy to sign up for an account, and the site gives a great welcome tour to show you how to use the site. It also offers the ability to offer advertising on your posts, and the site splits the profits 50/50. This would be appealing to someone dedicated to really getting a frequent podcast started.
